Case by anonymous accused, arrest 2
According to district police sources, the police called the injured candidate's brother-in-law Mojibur Rahman to the Sadar police station soon after the news and video of the incident was circulated in the media. There he submitted a written complaint as plaintiff. Later it was registered as a case in Sadar police station. No accused has been named in the statement of case. Unknown persons have been accused. Immediately after the case, the police conducted raids at various places in Singra and arrested the two. However, their identity is not known.
Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman confirmed the filing of the case. However, he said that the names of the arrested accused will be revealed later. He told Prothom Alo that the Superintendent of Police is looking at the incident with utmost importance. Regarding not mentioning the names of the accused in the statement, he said, it will not be a problem. The video footage of the incident has been received by the police. The accused will be identified after examining the footage. Apart from this, the number and ownership information of the microbus used in the incident is also in the hands of the police.
