General secretary of Awami League said that there is no party symbol of Awami League in the first round of elections on May 8. The Prime Minister has instructed the Ministers-MPs not to spread their influence.
Obaidul Quader mentioned that no one will interfere in the election. He also said that the administration will not interfere in any way. The Election Commission has arranged for smooth voting.
Obaidul Quader, in response to the question of how many Awami League candidates there are in the upazila elections, said, 'We did not feel the urge to calculate how many candidates we have. We gave everyone a chance.'
Jamaat-e-Islami has also withdrawn from the upazila elections, when attention was drawn to this, Obaidul Quader said, 'We are not giving any response to the decision of the Jamaat.'
