According to DSE data, the combined transactions of any sector other than the pharmaceutical sector did not exceed Tk 100 crore. Textile sector was the second highest transaction in Dhaka market on Tuesday. The combined transaction amount of 58 companies in this sector is 69 crore rupees. The third highest transaction is of food sector companies. The combined transaction amount of 21 companies in this sector was around 65 crore rupees.
Mainly because of four companies, the pharmaceutical sector has risen to the top in transactions today. The four companies are Beacon Pharma, Asiatic Laboratories, Orion Infusion and Central Pharma. A total of 103 crore shares of companies in this sector are traded. Out of this, the shares of the mentioned four companies have been traded for more than 72 crore rupees. In other words, the pharmaceutical sector was at the top of the transaction based on four companies.
