West Indies’ Devon Thomas has been banned by the ICC for 5 years for seven offenses including ‘match-fixing and planning’. Thomas had breached anti-corruption laws in franchise leagues in Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates and the West Indies.

The 34-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman has already confessed to the crime. Thomas, who played 1 Test, 21 ODIs and 12 T20Is for West Indies, last played an international match in December 2022. The punishment was announced in an ICC press release.
