There will be two matches each day in the group stage. Both semi-finals are on the same day, July 26. And the final on July 28. All matches will be played at Rangiri International Stadium, Dambulla. Sri Lanka last hosted the Women's Asia Cup in 2008.

India has won seven times in the previous eight seasons. They are also the current champions of the competition. Bangladesh was the champion once again; Salma-Jahanarara defeated India in the last ball of the tournament held in Malaysia in 2018.

About this year's tournament, ACC President Jai Shah said, 'Women's T20 Asia Cup has become a significant event in ACC's calendar. The tournament provides a platform for women cricketers to showcase their skills and passion for the game. The ACC is committed to advancing women's cricket and creating more opportunities for women to excel internationally.'
