I wouldn't say acting cures anxiety. But when you hold your excess energy in, the excess thoughts will consume you. Some kind of panic will fill.

Years ago when I used to sing in cabaret, standing on stage I felt like a different person. The funny thing is, I didn't want to stand under the spotlight. But when I stood on the stage of Studio Fifty Four and started singing, I felt like I was in my bedroom, alone!

When outsiders start saying 'You're doing well,' it's a form of stress. But I have learned to take responsibility for my mistakes. I don't say to myself, 'What you are doing, you are doing well.' Rather the opposite is the case. I say, 'If you make a mistake, there is nothing wrong with it.' There is no reason to trouble yourself for that.
