The new move was announced a day after Turkey complained that Israel was not allowing airdrops into Gaza.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan vowed to retaliate against Israel. He said, this action will be implemented step by step immediately.

Türkiye and Israel have traditionally had cooperative relations. But that relationship has bottomed out over the past few years amid Israel's war in Gaza. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called Israel a “terrorist state” and said the country's leaders are engaged in genocide.
