Sura is named after smoke

Dukhan, the 44th Surah of the Qur'an, was revealed in Mecca, and has 59 verses. Dukhan means smoke. It is named Surah Dukhan because of its discussion in verse 10 of the smoky conditions in which the unbelievers of Mecca found themselves during the days of famine. Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'Whoever recites Surah Dukhan on Friday night, his sins will be forgiven before morning.' (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2889)

In this surah, the events of the revelation of the Qur'an, the blessed night, the monotheism of Allah and the various signs of Allah's greatness in the creation, the doubt of the unbelievers about the Qur'an and the Day of Resurrection, the consequences of the Bani Israel due to the rebellion of Moses (A.S.), the consequences and punishment of the unbelievers, the existence of the universe is not without purpose, the Hour. There are narrations about the days not benefiting anyone, the punishment of the people of Hell and the reward of the God-fearing in Paradise.

Description of Qiyamat in Surah Jasiya

Surah Jasiya revealed in Mecca has 37 verses. The word 'Jasia' means kneeling. People will kneel down in fear on the Day of Resurrection. Surah describes this terrible condition, hence it is called Jasiya. This surah contains details of God's greatness, monotheism, nature, signs of creation, the consequences of disbelievers, the blessings of God given to Bani Israel, their disobedience and the horrors of the Day of Judgment.
