Before this, two leaders of Swachhasevak League were accused of raping a young woman (18) after holding her for almost two and a half months from January 7. In this incident last Friday night, the victim's mother filed a case with the police station mentioning two leaders of the Volunteer League along with a woman. The name of the accused woman is Rekha Begum (30). Apart from this, two to three other unidentified persons have been accused in the case.

The brief statement in the case stated that the victim worked in a factory at Sheikhghat in the city and lived in a locality in the city. Accused Rekha Begum is his neighbour. The relatives left the victim in the city house and went for a visit to the village. At that time, Rekha introduced the young woman to volunteer league leader Abdus Salam. Said to the victim, 'Salam Neta type people, will come in handy in times of trouble.' On January 7, Salam took the girl to his home through Rekha. After that, Salam kept her locked in a room and raped her for 22 consecutive days.

It is said in the statement that the girl's parents returned to the city from the village. Not finding her daughter at home, she searched in different places. Neighbor Rekha Begum took them to Salam when they wanted to go to the police station for a general diary. Salam forbade them to do GD and promised to find them himself. Two days later, when the girl's parents went to Salam again, he told them to bring him back in the afternoon.
