Talking to people related to the ghats, it is known that there are seven ferry ghats in Daulatdia. For several years, ferries number 1, 2 and 5 have been closed due to erosion of Padma river. Ghat No. 6 has been closed since the beginning of the dry season due to the reduced navigability of the river. Remaining ghats 3, 4 and 7 are operational. The length of the ferry link road (the road from the ferry to the paved road) is 250–300 meters. Due to the regular movement of vehicles on the road, the half-broken bricks have turned into powdery sand.

Salah Uddin, manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Daulatdia office, said, 'Vehicle traffic increases a lot during Eid. It creates more dust and sand, which is very harmful to health. I am sitting at the zero point of the main road leaving the connecting road to avoid the dust. I have requested BIWTA to remove the dust.
