Laws to prevent sexual harassment are not enforced

by endroar

There is no sensitive environment for women in educational institutions today. Although there are laws to prevent sexual harassment, they are not enforced in practice. The speakers said these things in a discussion meeting organized by Bangladesh Mahila Parishad today.

The meeting was organized at Sufia Kamal Bhavan auditorium of the organization in Segunbagicha of the capital. The meeting was held on the occasion of the organization's 54th founding anniversary, 'Challenging discrimination, establishing the spirit of equality'.

The meeting was chaired by Bangladesh Mahila Parishad President Fawzia Moslem. He said, the main crisis in women's life is discrimination. Where this discrimination exists, it must be identified. The courage that has been instilled in the life of a fighting woman must be mobilized. Women's equality, justice and dignity should be established through the women's movement.
