Among them, the police rescued the child from Lalmai area of ​​Comilla on Saturday afternoon after saying that they would pay Tk 4 lakh as ransom. At this time, a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw used in the kidnapping and four mobile phones were recovered along with the return of Tk 4 lakh as ransom.

Mother Nurjahan Begum started crying after getting the child back after 22 days of abduction. Expressing gratitude to the police, Nur Jahan said that the people of Teknaf are suffering from the fear of kidnapping. Students do not dare to go to school from home. Almost every day someone is being kidnapped.

According to the information given by the police, 117 people have been abducted from different areas of Teknaf in the last one year. 59 of them are local residents, the rest are Rohingya citizens. At least 51 of the abducted victims have been released on ransom, according to the families of the abductees.
