In Bangabandhu Medical School in Faridpur, trainee doctors are on strike, patients are suffering

At around 10:30 am on Wednesday, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur visited various wards, including the emergency department, and no apprentice doctor was seen working. Hospitals are overcrowded with patients. Due to non-availability of beds, patients are being treated on the floor in the hospital's balcony.

According to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital sources, there are 135 to 140 trainee doctors. The agitating trainee doctors said that an emergency team has been formed with 36 trainee doctors participating in the strike so that the health care of the hospital is not disrupted. Hospital authorities can call them in case of emergency. Then they will work for emergency period. However, nurses working in different wards of the hospital said that they did not see any apprentice doctor working during the strike.
