How long can the fruit cut for iftar be eaten?

by endroar

We eat fruit and fruit salad at Iftar. Various nutrients are available from these foods. It is also useful to meet water demand. Fruits are usually cut in the afternoon as an arrangement for Iftar. By cutting it into small pieces, preparation of salad is also possible. It is not that all of them are eaten while eating iftar.

Fruit and salad can be eaten slowly even after Maghrib prayer. But once cut, how long the nutrients of these fruits remain intact? Is it okay to eat fruit or salad cut in the afternoon after Taraweeh prayer? Can they be stored if they are harvested in large quantities at once? Shampa Sharmin Khan, associate professor of food and nutrition science department of Government College of Applied Human Sciences in Dhaka answered all such questions.
