“Even a few years ago, no one tilled the land after cultivating Aman paddy in Amag area. During the dry season, the salinity of the soil increases, so I thought that cultivation would be more expensive and labor intensive. However, people's ideas have changed over the past two years. By cultivating sunflower flowers in the fallow land of salty soil, we are getting a lot of yield at low cost. Farmer Nirmal Chandra Sarkar of Patolia village of Amadi Union of Koira Upazila of Khulna said these things while standing on the road in front of his house.

Farmer Nirmal Chandra Sarkar said, 'I never thought we would be able to grow other crops on this land. He walked towards the table to see how the yellow flowers of sunflowers are blooming all over the bill. Sunflower cultivation is increasing day by day.

On his way to the sunflower field, Nirmal said that a year ago, the agricultural officials had given him a bigha of sunflower cultivation land. Since then he cultivated sunflowers on three bigha land as he benefited from low cost and little labor. Last year 18 mana got seeds in three bigha land. It seems that the seeds will be more this time.
