CA chief executive Nick Hockley reiterated his desire to host a bilateral series between India and Pakistan while announcing the schedule for Australia's domestic season at the MCG yesterday. In his words, 'I think for those who watched the India-Pakistan match at the MCG, it will be one of the best memories and not just from a sporting point of view. People want to see this competition. We would like to host it (India-Pakistan bilateral series) if we get a chance. If there is an opportunity to play a role, we want to play that role.'

CA head of sports scheduling Peter Roach said last Tuesday that they also want to organize a tri-series between India and Pakistan. The last tri-series between these two teams was held in Australia during the 1999-2000 season. However, Peter Roach also said that there is no such opportunity in the current Future Tour Schedule (FTP), 'There is no tri-series in FTP. It will draw the fans to the field, we want to take such opportunities in the future. It can be said that all the countries of the world want India-Pakistan to face each other on their soil. We are one of the countries that have raised this question. But that opportunity is not on the schedule at the moment. We will continue to talk about creating other opportunities.'
