Aki Rahman will spend the money collected from the mountain expedition for the welfare of the endangered and helpless people of Africa, Syria, Morocco, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, including the Islamic Mission's 'Community Wellbeing' project, 'Children and Orphan' project in Palestine through UKIM.

Aki Rahman's house is in Baudharan village of Jagannathpur upazila of Sylhet. He moved to the UK with his family when he was one and a half years old. He spent his childhood in Oldham.

The mountaineer, a father of three, has previously climbed several peaks, big and small. In July 2020, he achieved his first success by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Tanzania. Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest single mountain in the world. He then conquered France's highest mountain, Mont Blanc at 4,810 meters.
