Ziyadush Sharif, the victim of the attack, said, 'I worked for Ragebul Ahsan in the parliamentary elections. He knows me personally. On Sunday night in Satmatha, I was going in front of the Chhatra League leader to tell him about the unpleasant incident with his son's friend. But he got down from the car and attacked me in a rough mood. Without giving me a chance to say anything, the miscreants who came with him attacked me and another leader with sticks and steel rods. Even though he fell on the ground with a rod on his head, they continued to beat him. The attack happened in front of the police. Instead of arresting the attackers, the police arrested two leaders of Jubo League and Chhatra League for fear of parliamentarians. I will file a case in this incident.'

District Jubo League president Subhashish Poddar told Prothom Alo, 'Two leaders of Chhatra League and Jubo League were detained at the outpost from 12 o'clock at night. I went to the outpost around three o'clock in the night and got them out with a bond.'

Bogra Superintendent of Police (SP) Sudeep Kumar Chakraborty told Prothom Alo that no one reported the attack inside the outpost. However, in the night, the member of parliament from Sadar constituency said to file a case against some people for allegedly beating up his son. For this they were detained. The police settled the matter peacefully without turning it into a case. The allegation of assault in the presence of the police is not true.

Meanwhile, the Bogra city Jubo League organized a human chain at Satmatha in the city today at 5 pm in protest against the attack on the Jubo League leader. Under the chairmanship of City Jubo League President Mahfuzul Alam and moderated by General Secretary Uday Kumar Barman, District Jubo League Vice President Mysul Tofail, Organizing Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, Office Secretary Zakaria Adil etc. also spoke at this time. The speakers demanded the quick arrest of those who attacked the Jubo League leader.
