There are some guidelines in Islam about speaking politely. Here are the seven manners:

1. Speaking Rightly: Allah says, 'O you who believe, fear Allah and speak rightly.' (Surah Ahzab, verse 70)

2. Speaking clearly: Musa (a.s.) was speechless, so he pleaded with Allah, 'My brother can speak better than I, so send him to help me. He will support me. I am afraid, however, that they will call me a liar.' (Surah Qasas, verse: 34)

3. Speaking politely: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, 'A believer does not rebuke and curse anyone and does not speak obscene and indecent words.' (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 1977)

5. Not to talk unnecessarily: The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Islamic quality and beauty of a person is to avoid unnecessary words and actions.' (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2318)
