Prepared hotel-restaurant, entertainment center

Hotel owners said, this Eid holiday may see the arrival of more tourists than the demand of Cox's Bazar. Because the entertainment centers there have become unsafe due to recent bank robberies, kidnappings and arrests in Bandarban. Those who planned to travel to Bandarban, Rangamati and Khagrachari during the Eid holidays are thinking of Cox's Bazar. Apart from that, the safe travel of tourists has been ensured as rail communication has been started from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar.

General Secretary of Cox's Bazar Hotel Guest House Owners Association Salim Newaz told Prothom Alo that no discount or special discount is being given to the room rent of the tourists who are traveling during this Eid holiday, a maximum of 60 percent discount was given for the entire month of Ramadan before Eid. However, the association is strictly monitoring whether the extra room rent is being collected from the tourists or not.

It was found that 80 percent of the rooms have been booked in advance in more than half a hundred hotels, resorts and guesthouses in the beach hotel-motel area till noon today. At least 60 hotels, guesthouses, resorts and cottages in Kalatali, including the five-star Hotel Seagull, Ocean Paradise, Saiman Beach Resort, Hotel Cox Today, Hotel Kallol, Mermaid Beach Resort, have been booked for three days from April 13.
